With the growing concern over global environmental issues, the manufacturing industry is facing unprecedented sustainability challenges. Issues like climate change, resource shortage, and environmental pollution all require us to rethink and redesign production processes and systems. In this context, sustainable manufacturing has become key for the development of the manufacturing industry.

In the 6th lecture on 20:00 PM of August 11th (Sunday), we'll have Prof. Yuchun Xu to talk about Address Sustainable Manufacturing through Life Cycle Engineering and Optimisation. Prof. Yuchun Xu is  the Chair in Manufacturing, Director of Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing Research Centre (SMRC), leader of the interdisciplinary research theme of Circular Economy at Aston University.
